Womanhood created in the image of God fell from grace in Eve and needs to be redeemed from sin and so He came as man, born of a woman to lead them back to a life in God. He always treated woman with dignity as persons made in the image of God whom he realized needed the love, understanding and forgiveness of God.

Woman at the Well. Jesus met a Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob and asked of her for a drink of water. She was surprised because the Jews and Samaritans were not on speaking terms. In the conversation which followed, He reveals himself as the Messiah whom she expected and proposed to give her "living water". Although she taught Jesus was speaking of earthly water, she began to desire this living water which would satisfy her thirst for God's love. When he asked her to get her husband, she replied she had no husband since she had lived with five men and the one she now lived with was not her husband.
After a conversation on the right place to worship, she left her waterpot and went into the city of Sychar proclaiming, " 'Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it?' They went out of the city, and were coming to Him." (Jn 4:29-30) This event helps to realize that Jesus knows all the evils we have done yet, he came to bring us that living water, that truth and grace which would bring us into eternal life.

Woman Caught in Adultery. The Jews brought a woman who had committed adultery who wanted to know if they should stone her to death according to the law of Moses. He told them that if any of them had not sin to to cast the first stone. They all walked away beginning with the oldest. Seeing that no one had condemned the woman, Jesus told her to go and sin no more. In this way Jesus showed God's compassionate heart toward the sinner. Judgment would come later, at the end of life. Muslims who still practice the Mosaic law do not know the compassionate heart of God. Before condemning anyone look into your heart and see the judgment you deserve for your sins.

Martha and Mary.
One day Jesus visited the home of of Lazarus who had two sisters, Martha and Mary. Martha was busy preparing for his guest while Mary was sitting at his feet listening to him. Martha became annoyed and said, "Why don't you tell my sister to help me?" Christ's retorted,"Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her." (Lk 10:38-42)
The point of the story is that we must lean to live in God's presence, to contemplate the goodness and love of God in Christ Jesus so as to live with dignity as sons and daughters of God all the days of our lives because this is what remains into eternal life.
