God created man to be immortal as long as he willed to remain in union with God. But, from the beginning man and woman rebelled against God by willing to live by their own rules. So God said, "He must not be allowed to put out his hand to take fruit from the tree of life ... and thus eat of it and lives forever." (Gn 3:22) From that day man and woman became subject to suffering and death. Still God's wisdom in man's nature seeks to make him live a number of years, human nature is thus designed with a tendency toward self-healing. If you cut your finger, it tends to heal itself and our immune system is constantly fighting off microscopic intruders that seek to multiply in our bodies ultimately causing death.
So, when the body fails to heal itself, man seeks and promotes healers in every culture. Traditionally in the West, man have sought healing in certain plants. For example, aspirin is derived from the willow tree because man had noticed that the chewing of its bark and leaves relieved pain. "Traditional approaches to human health generally attempt to effect healing change at the molecular vibratory level. One of the numerous medical examples of attempts to effect healthy change at the molecular vibratory level is the bio-chemical effect of every prescription." (Metatones website) When medicines fail to restore organ health, surgery is practiced.
But, the wisdom of God inherent in his creatures is not limited to the West. "Traditional Chinese medicine is largely based on the philosophical concept that the human body is a small universe with a set of complete and sophisticated interconnected systems, and that those systems usually work in balance to maintain the healthy function of the human body. ...Unlike the Western anatomical model which divides the physical body into parts, the Chinese model is more concerned with function. Thus, the ... Spleen is not a specific piece of flesh, but an aspect of function related to transformation and transportation within the body, and of the mental functions of thinking and studying." (Wikipedia Encyclopedia) "Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical technique for unblocking chi (ch'i or qi) by inserting needles at particular points on the body to balance the opposing forces of yin and yang. Chi is an energy that allegedly permeates all things. It is believed to flow through the body along 14 main pathways called meridians. When yin and yang are in harmony, chi flows freely within the body and a person is healthy. When a person is sick, diseased, or injured, there is an obstruction of chi along one of the meridians. Traditional Chinese medicine has identified some 500 specific points where needles are to be inserted for specific effects." (Web page: acupuncture)
Within the past twenty years, we have moved from a denial that there was an energy field around the human body to accepting the truth of this energy field. This came about due to the the scientific called the SQUID, a magnetometer which is capable of detecting tiny biomagnetic fields associated with physiological activities in the body and the fact that magnetic frequencies can be used to jump-start healing processes.
