Has anyone the right to heaven?

A human being has the right to heaven only if God gives it to him or her because we are creatures dependent on everything we have on the Creator. We received our body from our parents but it is a reality composed of cosmic dust weaved by the genetic information inscribed in our parents but it is God who gives us our spiritual identity working through the creative power of our parents.

From the beginning God intended that mankind should share in his eternal life but on the condition that they would be faithful to Him. As it turned out, mankind rebelled in our first parents and lost the right to heaven and gift of immortality."For you are dirt and to dirt you shall return." (Gn 3:19)

Fallen humanity can no longer claim the right to heaven unless God through his compassionate mercy restores it. Out of His great love for man God sent his Son to redeem us from Sin and restore supernatural life to our souls. The normal restoration means Baptism as Christ indicated to Nicodemus:

"Amen, Amen,I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God
without being born of water and the Spirit."

(Jn 3:5)

If baptism is necessary for salvation, what about those who lived before the advent of Christ and those who died after the Death-Resurrection of Christ without baptism of water?
