"Be praised, my Lord, through all your creatures,
especially through my lord Brother Sun,
who brings the day; and you give light through him.
And he is beautiful and radiant in all his splendor!
Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness." ( St. Francis of Assisi)
Light is a mysterious reality. It has no volume, therefore, it does not take up space. Photons do not have an electric charge ( + or -) and cannot interfere with one another. How many photons can dance at the point of a needle? Theoretically an infinite number.
In the National Geographic, June 2001 issue we read:
"Light reveals the world to us. Body and soul crave it.
Light set our biological clocks.
Light feeds us by supplying energy for plants to grow.
It inspires us with special effects like rainbows and sunsets.
Light gives us life-changing tools, from incandescent bulbs to lasers and fiber optics.
Scientists don't fully understand what light is or what it can do.
They only know that it illuminates the future."
(by Joel Achenbach)
But the mystery of light deepens when we consider the human body. What is our body made of?
Photo of the Crab Nebula shows what is left of a star which exploded in 1054 A.D. Its material is flung far and wide.
Science tells us that the only atoms created by the birth of the universe was helium. During the evolution of stars other elements were and are created which as the stars come to their end explode are flung into outer space.
With the birth of the solar system, elements created long ago by stars were caught up in the formation of the planet earth where they further formed into minerals and organic chemical compounds necessary for life. So, what are we made of? Stellar matter organized in such a way as to sustain life. We know, for example, that Carbon lies at the center of life molecular complexity because it is able to attach to itself four other elements which makes for more molecular complexity necessary for life.
Like the sun the human body emits electromagnetic radiation which is called the human aura. Although we do not see it, we are able to photograph the human aura and see changes in its colors and size and form indicating biological health or sickness, mental states and changes in the environment such such as increased solar activity. When part of the body is cut off the aura still remains for a time. Actually all of the 100 trillion cells of the human body emit electromagnetic radiation. Some see the aura as a bioplasma body, the energy counterpart of the physical body. "The bioplasma body is not the mere radiation of the physical body, but rather the physical body is the mirror of the energy body."
So, what am I saying? I am saying that that when God said, "Let there be light ..." He foresaw the formation of our bodies which are made of convoluted energy forms sensitive and interacting with the light of the sun without which there would be no life on earth. "To think we must eat" so it is evident that this energy is linked with our soul. How, remains a mystery.
